How to get to Bardsey Island

Bardsey is two miles off the tip of the Llŷn Peninsula. The closest village is Aberdaron. The boat departs from Porth Meudwy but cars must be parked at Cwrt Farm, Tir Glyn. The boat leaves each Saturday during the season (or the first suitable day thereafter). Details of the crossing point and assembly instructions will be given separately when a firm booking is made.

By Car

Follow signs to Pwllheli, then to Aberdaron. From Aberdaron the car park is 1.5 miles away. Either take the Aberdaron ‘by-pass’ or drive through the village before following signs for Uwchmynydd. Then take a left turn to Tir Glyn (signposted as a campsite). Cwrt Farm is on the right, visitors to the Observatory park their cars in a field to the rear of the farm. Day visitors must park their cars in the car park at the top of the track to Porth Meudwy.
